For the Public

The Library receives most of its funding from lawyers, with the balance of the revenue coming from the Law Foundation of NL. Although the Library does not receive any government funding, we welcome members of the public to come to the Law Society Library and use any of our print resources.

While not being able to provide legal advice, library staff are pleased to assist the public with access to legal information. Whether you are a student, historical researcher or self represented litigant we can help you to find informative books, laws, useful websites and other organizations that can assist you. For a list of useful websites please see our useful links page.  Members of the public may use the library during operating hours, however, as the library is locked during business hours, please call 753-7770, before you drop in.

Hours of Operation
9:00 am to 5:00 pm
The library will not open during storms when Memorial University is closed.
